About Us
We are glad to welcome you to Bashkir State Medical University! Our university is the centre of medical and pharmaceutical sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
For more than 85 years our institution has been successfully training specialists for health care, scientific and pedagogical work in the sphere of professional medical and pharmaceutical education of the Russian Federation. Scie ntists of Bashkir State Me dical University successfully represent our Republic and Russia at the international events in different fields of natural sciences.
University faculty consists of famous scholars and medical practitioners who are involved in teaching, medical and scientific activities. BSMU possesses material and technical resources, training facilities, and a large library stock. BSMU is famous for its schools of surgeons, oncologists, cardiologists, morphologists all around Russian and world medical institutions.
Thanks to the international summits of SCO and BRICS, which were held in the capital of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2015, Ufa became a new congress centre of Russia. Today we are at the centre of Russian and international medical events. Summits gave impetus to the development of cooperation with China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and strengthening cooperation with leading universities of Germany. Nowadays our students, physicians and professors are being integrated in international prac tice, our scientists are conducting joint research on topical problems of medicine.
We are glad to open our doors for new students from all over the world, and welcome opportunities for international cooperation in educational, scientific and innovative work.
INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION
Collaboration with leading international educational, scientific and medical institutions is one of the key priorities of Bashkir State Medical University.
Cooperation with foreign partners enables students and young doctors of BSMU to participate in international exchanges, workshops, various joint research projects as well as to get familiar with other cultures and to improve foreign language skills.
To this moment BSMU’s list of foreign partners includes about 50 uni versities, clinics, scientific and educational centres of Germany, China, USA, Norway, Austria etc.
Annually up to 80 students and young doctors of BSMU Clinic undergo summer internship in Universities of Germany and China. In addition, BSMU holds a series of lectures, workshops and seminars conducted by doctors and professors from other countries. The University, in turn, accepts up to 80 students per year from China, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Macedonia, Egypt, Hungary, Latvia, Bulgaria, Morocco and Kazakhstan for summer practice in BSMU Clinic.
Besides, in recent years BSMU took part in arranging significant international events that were held in Ufa.
Climate

determining factors. The mammoth size of the country and the seclusion of many areas from the sea result in the supremacy of the continental climate. Such climate is
prevalent in European and Asian Russia except for the tundra and the extreme southeast. Mountains in the south obstructing the flow of warm air masses f rom the
Indian Ocean and the plain of the west and north makes the country open to Arctic and Atlantic influences. Due to the temperate control of the Atlantic or Pacific, most areas of Russia in European Russia, in the south of W est Siberia and in the south of the Russian Far East, including the cities of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, practice a humid continental climate.
Most of Northern European Russia and Siberia between the Scandinavian Peninsula and the Pacific Ocean has a subarctic climate, with extremely severe winters in the inner regions of Northeast Siberia and more moderate everywhere else

Every student can take an active part in his favourite sport or choose a new one: football, mini- football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, chess, mountain skiing, snowboarding, swimming, skiing, aerobics, boxing, kickboxing, weightlifting and athletics. Student teams participate in international, regional and city competitions and often take the prizes.

MBBS PROCEDURE IN RUSSIA
Process for getting admission in MBBS in Russia is very simple. Russian Medical Universities do not require Indian students to pass any entrance exams for admission in MBBS Course. Admissions are based on a first come first served, subject to the candidate satisfying the eligibility criteria set by the Russian medical University and MCI Medical Council of India (*for Indian students).
Indian students must satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for MBBS admission in Russia:
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR STUDENTS
- You are at least 17 and maximum 25 years old on or before 31st December of the admission
- You have passed Class 12th with PCB and English subjects from a board recognized by the Authorities in
- You have secured a minimum of 50% in PCB in 10+2.
- You have a qualified NEET
